Our track has MOVED to the Mesa del Sol area, a half mile directly south of Isleta Amphitheater. See 'NEW LOCATION' for more information.

We recommend racers bring their own generator, cooler, and food. This is a remote area that is under development so there are few services close by.

Property is owned by Bernalillo County. Alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs are prohibited.

Due to our facility's insurance, All racers are REQUIRED to have an active ROAR Membership. If you don't have one, we can help you get signed up!

We have moved. Moving office sign

New Location

Our track has relocated to the new Mesa del Sol Sports

Complex in southwest Albuquerque. We're a half mile directly south of Isleta Amphitheater. Because this is a new development for the County, we do not have a physical street address yet and are having issues with updating our Google Maps profile. Due to construction, please take Bobby Foster Rd and come in from the south. See map for more info or message us for further clarification. Click the link below for our location on Google Maps or use the following coordinates, 34°59'37.7"N 106°37'48.3"W.

Benefits of R/C

The radio-controlled (R/C) hobby has some amazing benefits. Here are just a few:

  • Develop fine motor skills and teaches cause & effect. R/C cars are operated by remote control. This helps to develop hand/eye coordination.
  • Gets people outdoors. Our track, and many in the surrounding states are outdoor tracks. It allows us to spend time outdoors, provides us with fun tracks with “character”, and reduces our “screen time”
  • Teaches technical competency. Although there are many Ready-To-Run (RTR) R/C cars that help get racers started, most of our racers build their own kits. Racers are often required to modify or fix their cars.
  • Thinking outside the box. Racers are often required to troubleshoot set-up and often requires creative problem solving.
  • Creative outlet. Paint scheme and wheel color are just two ways that racers customize their cars.
  • Comradery. We have a tight knit group of regular racers in New Mexico and surrounding states that have become friends on and off the track. They realize that the future of the sport depends on them and their willingness to welcome others. Spectators are appreciated and new racers are brought into the fold. Regular racers are always happy to assist new racers with build advise, set-up techniques, tire selection, and much more!
  • Teaches sportsmanship. It’s a great opportunity for racers of all ages to develop and practice the important behavior of sportsmanship.
  • It’s a family activity. We have several families that participate and attend our races. This provides a great bonding experience for parents and their kids, partners/spouses, and even the whole family.
  • Teaches teamwork. Our nitro classes require racers to pair up with at least one person to start, fuel, and support them during races. Racers are also required to marshal, or designate a substitute, the race following theirs. Marshalling is also great exercise as it requires racers or their designee to quickly run to R/C cars that require assistance to keep them in the race.
  • Fun for all ages! No matter your age, experience, or technical ability, there is a R/C class for you!
